What Do You Want To Know About Being Successful?

We are in the process of interviewing the top entrepreneurs who will be featured in our upcoming book. If you like our previous book Secrets To Dominate Your Niche, I think you will really love this one as well.

On top of having more strategies, tactics and great contents, we have full-length case studies from businesses that are doing over $1 million to those which are doing over $10 million to those that are doing over $100 million.

And I personally grill these CEOs. Over the years, they have done interviews with the media. So they are “trained” to give media-friendly, politically-correct, safe answers… But that’s not we want. We want the real hard-core truth. The exact mindset, strategies and tactics they used to get to where they are today… even if it’s all due to luck (highly unlikely!)

So I have to peel through layers of those safe (and boring) answers. In fact, a few of them were caught of guard with my dogged persistency by asking the same question many different ways in response to some media-friendly answer. (I can see their eyes expressed a little shock. They were probably thinking “no journalists have asked that questions before!”)  But after a while, invariably, I got them to reveal the real gems. They shared with me things that they have not shared with any other interviewers before.

Here’s your chance…

So, since a huge reason for writing this book is for you, the readers, I’d like to give you the chance to ask these entrepreneurs your questions.

What are your 2 most burning questions you want to ask these top entrepreneurs about success?

Post your 2 questions in the comment box below and I will do my best to get them to answer your questions. Obviously, we already have a whole bunch of questions for them, but we don’t want to miss anything that you might have wanted to know. We will then include their answers in the book itself.

Cheers.

    My two questions are
    1) How do you beat the competition and allow clients to come to you instead of you chasing leads?
    2) How does a person starting out with no customer list build a database of paying customers fast?

  2. Sant Qiu Says:

    Hi Penny,

Great questions! You’ll be happy to know that the book will cover great strategies on those points. I’ll be covering strategies on how you can become the go-to person in your niche.

    But here’s a short answer:
    1. Get to know your target market’s wants. (You can ask them outright)
    2. Create a unique positioning based on those wants.
    3. Reach out to them directly through the appropriate media.
    4. Educate them on your differentiation. You’d be surprise how ignorant your target market can be. As the seller, you’re probably an expert in what you’re offering, but your target market is probably not. So educate them.
    5. Roll out. You can benefit just by doing that above steps. But if you really want to dominate your niche, you have to roll out your marketing. Strike while the iron is hot and market through all relevant media targeted at your market. You can dominate this way in an extremely short period of time.

By the way, what’s your business?

Hi Sant, Thanks for this thing. I read your previous book with Thomas and I liked it very much.

    My questions:
    1. What is the single most dominating thought in your mind in the process of creating a 10,50,100 mil businesses? In other words, what does you little voice keep telling you on a continuous basis.
    2. I am sure creating such businesses need a ton of energy. How do you maintain the energy on a consistent basis (after all, there will be ups and downs in life and business).

    Nishant.

  4. Sant Qiu Says:

    Hi Nishant,

Happy to know you like Secrets To Dominate Your Niche. I thought I remembered your name, so I briefly looked through your site.

I think you can benefit tremendously by re-positioning yourself/your offers. One of the biggest common misjudgment lots of people make is to focus too much on what they can do, instead of what the market needs. When they re-focus on what the market needs, they will experience a boost in growth. I’ve seen this many times before.

In your case, think about how will having better memory benefit your target market? In general, people don’t think about wanting to get better memory as an end goal. It is what better memory will get them. (It’s the same for marketing. People don’t think they want better marketing. What they want is better sales, profit, more time, etc.)

So, 1. give them what they want using what you can offer.

    2. Segment your market and communicate to each segment/niche differently.
Eg. To PMEBs you might appeal with: getting better salary, profits, increase sales, create better impression, close more deals, etc. I think you get what I mean.

    3. Then use sexier program titles. Eg. For students:
“How To Get As With Less Study Time” (I think with the overcrowded education biz in Singapore, no one has used this positioning yet! If you’re going to use it, I appreciate the royalty cheques ;)

I think you have a unique position and huge potential for growth. All the best.

PS. By the way, thanks for your questions. They will be answered in the book.

    Hi Sant,

I just started reading your excellent book, Niche Dominators…

… and was totally impressed with the quality and quantity of content in your book!

The case studies of highly successful entrepreneurs are practical and useful to entrepreneurs.

And… at the price it’s going, it’s exceptional value for money. I recommend every business owner… to grab a copy, devour it and apply whatever they can to their business. (I’ll be taking a closer look)

    Cheers!
    Roger

  8. Sant Qiu Says:

Hi Roger, thank you very much for your kind words. I’m glad to know you’re benefiting from the book and enjoying it. I had a great time writing it and learned a lot along the way as well. It was fantastic meeting those movers and shakers.

  9. Mrs Ng Says:

    hi Sant

You met me at Ping Yi. I borrowed the Secrets To Dominate Your Niche from your friend, my ex student Martin Chan. It was out of curiosity I read the book. I am no entrepreneur yet I was able to understand what you wrote. The ideas were practical and doable, convincing too. I bought your book as a gift to my nephew who has just embarked on a business, marketing some German products. Hopefully, he will read it to help him succeed.

  10. Sant Qiu Says:

    Hi Mrs Ng,

Thank you for your comment. It was great going back to Ping Yi and seeing how it has changed and grown. You look great as well :)

I wish your nephew all the best in his new business. Take care.
