Interesting Insights: Mini Survey Results So Far…
A couple of days back I sent out a mini survey to my subscribers and readers to better understand what exactly you need so that I can focus on those specific topics and give you more relevant tips.
Since then I’ve been receiving wonderful responses and insightful answers. So a big thank you to you for taking the mini survey. (If you’ve not taken the mini survey, you still can let me know your specific needs by going to http://www.surveymonkey.co
Anyways, to thank you for taking the survey, I thought I’d share with you some of the insights I got from the mini survey so far.
Insight #1: About 80% of you who responded are business owners who are decision makers in your businesses. I’m actually pleasantly surprised to find out about this as you are exactly the people whom I’m trying to help. So I’m very happy to know that I’m getting to the right people.
Well, in reality, it’s not by luck that I’m attracting such a high percentage of entrepreneurs and business owners like yourself, because I work pretty hard to achieve just that
There are specific strategies and techniques to attract the right target market to you. And this is something that I will be sharing in my up coming post (very soon).
Insight #2: This is related to the above point. The most requested topic that you want me to cover is…how to get more customers. This really doesn’t come as a surprise as it is one of the most common challenges faced by businesses. And since this is the most requested topic by you, it’ll be the first topic I’ll cover in my upcoming series of business tips.
But since I’m writing this now, let me share with you a couple of things. The lack of customers is often not the actual problem. It is usually just the symptom of a deeper problem. For example, if you position your business incorrectly, it will affect how it is perceived in the market and it will lead to lack of customers. So in that scenario, the problem started much earlier in the strategy stage of the marketing process.
You can do a lot of tactical marketing activities such as distributing flyers, advertising, etc. But if your overall strategy is wrong, then any result you get will be short lived. An example I mentioned before was the “Anything & Whatever” can drinks. They had great tactical marketing; flooding the media with ads and getting a lot of coverage. But in just a couple of short years they were gone because their business idea was fundamentally flawed. (I wrote about them before in an old article here: http://www.maneuvermarketi
When you have the right positioning and overall strategy, then it is much easier to attract customers. I use the word attract because it is much better to have your customers search for you rather than the other way a round. Wouldn’t you like that? There are powerful benefits to this. One of the biggest benefits is that when customers look for you, their resistance tend to be lower and compliance tend to be much higher. So closing the sale is much easier. That is why simple tweaks to the positioning of my clients’ businesses can have really amazing bottom line result.
I’ll also be sharing some of those interesting case studies soon. Meanwhile, I’ve created a sub-list for those who are interested to be notified of the upcoming series of tips.
