Thanks for your comment. Yes, marketing knowledge in the region is still in it’s infancy even though it’s been around for so long.

Most SMEs are too focused on production and only doing “marketing” in an adhoc basis. In fact, most SMEs in singapore misunderstand marketing as promotional campaign, which is totally different. A promotional campaign is just a small part of the whole marketing process.

Marketing is the whole essence of the business. Everything in a business exists to provide value to the target market in exchange for money. That is marketing.

SMEs need to have a better understanding of marketing so they can achieve better and measurable results.

Your marketing knowledge and strategies is SOLID, PRACTICAL and APPLICABLE and what you have shared is definitely applicable to businesses.

I totally agree with you that most traditional business owners here in Singapore is extremely shy or they have no time to promote and market their business extensively by tapping on the internet and the social networking platform.

It could also be that they still did not know the importance of marketing online or they have difficulty articulating it in words and present it in their marketing materials.

Why I say this, is because through the process of work of talking to business owners, some are stopped by the process of even getting a business profile or marketing content written up for their business/services.

I would like to send my encouragement to all SMEs and Sole Proprietors, no matter how small your business is, and if you are working alone, you can definitely grow your business by learning from Sant and taking action to start marketing your business online.

It really pays to get ourselves knowledgeable about leveraging on the internet, technology and social networking platforms to grow our business because I personally have benefitted from growing my business through using the Internet.
